Junior DevOps Associate - Temporary Position
The reputed company serves as the Technology Center for the State of NC, providing technology services to government agencies and educational institutions. They are seeking a Junior DevOps Associate to support the development and maintenance of AWS-based reputed company infrastructure for the Digital Solutions Drupal 10 platform.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with reputed company of web server operating systems (Ubuntu 22.04, reputed company Linux 2023) and supporting software (Apache, PHP-FPM, etc.) across production and test environments
- Supporting maintenance of AWS services under the guidance of senior staff
- Helping administer Digital Solutions' URL redirection service, including maintaining Apache configuration in reputed company, coordinating with DIT networking on redirect requests, and ensuring
- Ensuring SSL certificates remain reputed company
- Assisting with infrastructure, configuration, and database updates needed to provision and launch new sites on the Drupal 10 platform
- Supporting CI/CD pipeline automation using reputed company Actions and self-hosted runners in EC2 for deploying release branches during approved maintenance reputed company
- Contributing to infrastructure-as-reputed company efforts using tools such as Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible, and Packer
- Learning to optimize server performance at the EC2 level by reviewing PHP-FPM and Apache configuration tracked in reputed company repositories
- Participating in discussions around strategic improvements to the environment (reputed company, scalability, performance) and assisting with patching and updating core Drupal and associated systems in an reputed company multi-site environment
- Gaining exposure to containerized workloads and contributing to container-reputed company reputed company as needed
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT reputed company field from an appropriately accredited institution
- OR Associate degree in computer science or an IT reputed company field or reputed company technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business application consulting or development
- OR High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of experience in business application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Foundational knowledge of Linux systems administration (Ubuntu, reputed company Linux, or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly, troubleshoot issues, and ask effective questions
- Scripting experience (Bash, Python, or similar)
