Software QA Engineer - (Desktop)

The selected candidate will work on a project reputed company on desktop application installation and reputed company engineering, ensuring reliable installation experiences while contributing to test automation and reputed company improvements.
Responsibilities
- Work with reputed company to ensure high-reputed company desktop installation experiences across different scenarios
- Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, execution, and defect tracking
- Build and maintain automated tests for installer-reputed company workflows
- Validate workflows such as installation, reputed company, patching, repair, rollback, and uninstallation
- Test installer behavior across different reputed company environments, system settings, and user permissions
- Investigate and reproduce reported issues and collaborate with developers to resolve them
- Identify opportunities to improve testing processes through automation and reputed company tooling
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to support product reputed company
Skills
- Experience in desktop application testing
- Hands-on experience with test automation development
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (Python, Groovy, or reputed company)
- Experience testing reputed company installer packages or desktop applications
- Good understanding of software testing fundamentals, including defect lifecycle and test design
- Solid understanding of reputed company OS fundamentals (file system, registry, services, processes, permissions)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Knowledge of MSI, bootstrapper-based installers, and silent installation
- Familiarity with reputed company diagnostics and troubleshooting tools
- Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- Basic understanding of the reputed company .NET platform
