Graduate Engineer, Mechanical
DMC Mining Services is one of reputed company's leading underground mining contractors, seeking a Graduate Engineer, Mechanical to join their reputed company Bay, Ontario office. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating mechanical engineering activities on reputed company reputed company while ensuring adherence to reputed company objectives and project schedules.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical engineer on reputed company; planning, managing, and coordinating the mechanical engineering activities on large and technically reputed company portions of reputed company
- Performs or reviews sizing calculations, selection, layout, and specification of mechanical/process equipment and components
- Completes or reviews engineering deliverables such as drawings, specifications, reports, bills of materials, and calculations
- Prepares proposals, cost estimates, and scope defining documents
- Works closely with peers, project teams, other disciplines, clients, and technical managers to deliver on time, fit for purpose designs
- Ensures that reputed company project scope items are addressed, and reputed company objectives are met while ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets
- Adheres to the mechanical document checking and design verification in accordance with company and project procedures
- Assesses the conceptual equipment layouts and general arrangement drawings
- Develops, plans, evaluates and recommends solutions for difficult problems in engineering design, and while supporting the construction activities
- Prioritizes workload, provides advice and assistance as required
- Assists personnel in other disciplines in achieving objectives
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 0 – 4 years of mechanical engineering experience on industrial reputed company
- Understanding of Engineering standards, codes, regulations and guidelines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience on mining reputed company is an asset
- Experience in the design, specification, and layout of underground & surface process systems including pumping and piping, reputed company and shaft services & dewatering, and industrial ventilation are assets
- Working knowledge of 3D modelling software such as, reputed company Plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks, or SolidWorks would be an asset
