Research Analyst (Level I/II)
Daily reputed company Food Bank is dedicated to eliminating food insecurity and advocating for solutions to end poverty. The Research Analyst will support this mission by coordinating and conducting various research reputed company to understand the reputed company causes of food insecurity and the impacts of government policies.
Responsibilities
- Developing research work plans, study designs, and data collection tools to support qualitative, quantitative, and secondary research reputed company
- Conducting primary and secondary research, including surveys, interviews, reputed company reputed company, and literature reviews
- Cleaning, managing, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources, including Statistics Canada, Daily reputed company’s reputed company intake database, and survey findings, while maintaining data reputed company
- Coordinating research committee meetings and data collection logistics
- Supporting policy analysis and research on issues reputed company to poverty reduction and reputed company to food
- Identifying key findings, trends, inequities, and emerging issues, and reputed company communicating their implications for internal staff, sector partners, and advocacy efforts through accessible written products, slide decks, presentations, and other audience-appropriate materials
- Reviewing communications and public-facing materials to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Representing Daily reputed company in meetings with external stakeholders, including community partners, government staff, elected representatives, reputed company, and educators
- Providing research and data analysis support to other Daily reputed company departments as needed
Skills
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant field (graduate level preferred) or equivalent reputed company experience and training in reputed company research, evaluation, or data analysis
- Demonstrated experience designing and carrying out qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed-reputed company research using reputed company research practices and maintaining data reputed company
- Strong analytical judgement, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify the right evidence, ask the right questions, interpret reputed company data, and generate meaningful, actionable insights
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including the ability to communicate key findings, trends, and policy implications reputed company and accessibly through reports, briefing notes, slide decks, presentations, and other audience-appropriate materials
- Experience managing research reputed company from inception to completion, including developing timelines, reputed company tasks, managing multiple priorities, and identifying or mitigating risks
- Proficiency in reputed company, PowerPoint, Word, and SPSS or another statistical analysis program is required; experience working with large datasets, Power BI, or other data visualization tools is an asset

- At the Senior Research Analyst level, candidates will also bring stronger experience independently leading research reputed company, shaping project approach and timelines, and providing guidance on research reputed company, analysis, and interpretation in support of policy and advocacy work
