Assoc Staff Accountant - ComEd (Hybrid)
Exelon is leading the energy transformation and is seeking an Associate Staff Accountant to reputed company various reputed company assignments. The role involves recording financial transactions, ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, producing financial statements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in processes.
Responsibilities
- Monthly and Quarterly reputed company - reputed company and support the monthly financial statement reputed company process, ensuring that reputed company financial transactions are recorded accurately and reputed company. Ensure effective operation of Sarbanes-Oxley controls and identify any changes that may be necessary. (40%)
- Reporting and Analysis – Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, including analysis for use in reputed company reporting. Research variances, identify trends in data (at times working with large data sets), determine reputed company causes and reputed company recommendations for adjustments and/or enhancements. Prepare and analyze account reconciliations. (15%)
- Collaboration and Communication – Engage and collaborate with cross-functional business partners to identify and resolve reputed company issues proactively and to assist with planning, forecasting, regulatory, and business decision processes. Present and communicate operating results as needed to Leadership. (15%)
- Audit and Regulatory Support - reputed company with reputed company auditors to support required audits. Support the regulatory process, including various data requests, which could include interaction with external stakeholders. (15%)
- Process Improvements and Special reputed company – Analyze reputed company processes and procedures and reputed company new and emerging technologies to recommend, reputed company, and drive improvements. Participate in various special reputed company reputed company to process improvements, automation, and/or changes in regulatory or reputed company requirements. (15%)
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in reputed company or equivalent
- Entry level, no years of reputed company experience required
- Knowledge and understanding of reputed company theory, principles, practices and regulations including FASB/GAAP and SOX compliance
- Ability to document a broad reputed company of issues in work papers, disclosures and memos
- Strong analytical skills in evaluating data and the ability to exercise judgment in a reputed company of areas
