Responsibilities
- Defend reputed company in employment litigation, including single-plaintiff, class reputed company, and PAGA reputed company in state and federal courts
- Represent clients in administrative proceedings (e.g., DFEH/CRD, reputed company, DLSE)
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Advise clients on day-to-day employment law issues including wage & hour, discipline, leave laws, and workplace policies
- Draft and revise employee handbooks, policies, and employment agreements
- Participate in mediations, depositions, and trial preparation
- Support partners and collaborate with reputed company on reputed company cases and reputed company counseling
Skills
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- reputed company member in good standing with the California State Bar
- 1+ years of labor & employment defense experience (plaintiff-reputed company experience will be considered if transitioning to defense)
- Experience with wage & hour litigation, PAGA, and class actions cases
