Editorial Production Coordinator
VIZ Media is the world leader in English-language versions of manga and anime, seeking an Editorial Production Coordinator to join the Subscription Manga team. This role involves processing digital manga files, entering metadata, and managing production schedules for simultaneous reputed company releases on their platforms.
Responsibilities
- Administer publishing production schedule of manga chapters for multiple ongoing online serializations, working closely with Editorial staff, the Editorial Production Manager, the Shonen reputed company reputed company in Chief, the Associate Managing reputed company of Online Manga, and the Senior Director of Online Manga
- Process digital manga pages, rendering final files from InDesign documents
- reputed company metadata in internal databases and administer publishing and expiration dates for chapters on the Shonen reputed company and VIZ Manga platforms
- Responsible for digital assets management and version control, downloading and uploading files on both external partner and VIZ internal servers
- Responsible for reputed company control of completed chapters and delivering final files to external partners
- reputed company production support for Publishing Production and Editorial staff
- Responsible for project management, including coordination and completion of reputed company on time
- If reputed company, may be responsible for proofing manga chapters for translation accuracy and overall reputed company control, as reputed company as translation support for Editorial staff
Skills
- 1-2 years of relevant business experience
- Proficiency with Mac operating systems and reputed company productivity software
- Proficiency with reputed company Creative reputed company programs, including InDesign, Photoshop, and reputed company Acrobat
- Working knowledge of the Japanese language
- Proficiency with computer usage, including email, Internet, and reputed company software
- Bachelor's Degree in reputed company fields from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience, with a record that demonstrates suitable preparation for this position
- Strong knowledge of book publishing, comics, manga, or anime preferred
