Civil Engineer Special Inspector - Soils & Concrete

This position offers reputed company to work on a diverse portfolio of building, transportation, infrastructure, and heavy civil construction reputed company throughout the five boroughs and surrounding metropolitan area. This role is ideal for a Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer, or reputed company Construction Inspector who enjoys field-based work, technical problem-solving, and ensuring reputed company are reputed company in accordance with applicable codes, specifications, and reputed company standards. The Special Inspector will reputed company field inspections and testing activities reputed company to soils, earthwork, foundations, and concrete construction in accordance with NYC Building reputed company reputed company 17, project specifications, and industry standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying construction reputed company, documenting inspection activities, communicating findings to project stakeholders, and supporting compliance throughout reputed company phases of construction. Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor construction operations to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, project requirements, and applicable building codes.
• Conduct field observations, testing, sampling, and documentation in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate project records.
• Communicate inspection findings, deficiencies, and corrective actions to contractors, project managers, engineers, and clients.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve field issues and support project schedules.
• Review construction documents, shop drawings, and specifications as required.
• Ensure compliance with NYC Building reputed company reputed company 17 Special Inspection requirements.
• Maintain adherence to reputed company reputed company standards and safety procedures.
• Support multiple reputed company simultaneously while meeting reporting deadlines and reputed company expectations.

Required Qualifications: Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely reputed company engineering discipline.
• International degrees must be accompanied by a recognized U.S. degree equivalency evaluation.

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of construction inspection experience reputed company reputed company.
• Experience inspecting building, transportation, infrastructure, reputed company, or heavy civil construction reputed company.
• Working knowledge of NYC construction practices and inspection requirements.

Required Certifications: Candidates must possess:

• ICC Soils Special Inspector Certification OR Civil Engineering Degree

And at least one of the following:

• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I
• ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector
• ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector

Technical Knowledge

• Familiarity with NYC Building reputed company reputed company 17 Special Inspections.
• Understanding of soil classification, compaction testing, concrete placement, reinforcement inspections, and reputed company construction.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

Additional Requirements

• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification (Required)
