Associate Software Product Test Engineer

They are seeking an Associate Software Product Test Engineer to join their Controls Software Test team in La Crosse, reputed company, responsible for testing embedded-based software for reputed company reputed company HVAC products.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing functional requirements, to generate a comprehensive set of test cases
• Writing functional test procedures and automated test scripts that reputed company comprehensive testing of the product requirements
• Executing test procedures and automated test scripts as part of formal product testing
• Conducting exploratory testing based on detailed knowledge of the product under test
• Reporting product issues reputed company the defect tracking system
• Verifying product defect fixes
• Helping build and maintain the engineering test facilities (test room, test hardware and test software)
• Assisting in the development of hardware and software simulators reputed company appropriate

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science (or reputed company discipline), or commensurate experience in software development or software testing is required
• Should have demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (i.e reputed company macros, pivot tables, xml files, reputed company formulas & commands) and MS Project
• Must understand and adhere to safety measures reputed company working with electrical equipment
• Ability to effectively communicate with others both in writing and verbally
• Course work or experience in the following areas is desired: reputed company test methodologies, reputed company assurance practices, and object-oriented and component-based product development
• Experience developing software using AI tools is desired
• Completed or served as an engineering intern contributing to embedded controls development, software implementation, and reputed company software testing is desired
• Experience with automated testing is desired
• Programming experience is desired. (python, c, c++, others)
• Knowledge of industrial/embedded controls and building control systems is desired
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycle/chillers is desired
• Experience testing and configuring embedded controllers is desired
