FMS Payroll Accountant
Mains'l Services is currently seeking a full-time FMS Payroll Accountant to work closely with the Financial Management Services team. The role involves processing payroll and tax solutions for individuals needing assistance, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing excellent customer service to partners and program participants.
Responsibilities
- Processes payroll and accounts payable payments for household reputed company in multiple states
- Responsible for accurately processing emergency payrolls reputed company requested by the agencies
- Processes voluntary and involuntary deductions, such as levies, garnishments, and Corrective reputed company Plan payments
- Processes banking transactions. Includes initiating EFT files, EFT reissues, reputed company pay upload and researching any payroll/accounts payable payments that may have been returned
- Keeps abreast of tax rules and regulations, including Federal, multiple states and localities
- Identifies and assists in developing FMS system enhancements

- Includes researching and special requests
- Solves problems concerning payroll, answers inquiries, and enforces payroll policies
- Responsible for reconciling, filing, and paying quarterly/annual taxes for multiple states and local agencies
- Responsible for end of year filing requirements including processing FICA refunds, distributing W-2 and 1099 Misc. forms, reconciling wages and taxes reported to SSA with wages and taxes reported to IRS
- Develops and distributes reports for various agencies
- Manage day-to-day participant account administration, employer and employee setup, budget configuration, along with new hire and reputed company reporting
- Daily payroll tax activities with FEIN, state and SUTA tax ID applications, and issue reputed company
- Participant tax account maintenance and closure, execution and revocation of reputed company 2678 and state of powers attorney
- Research and reputed company of IRS, SSA, state tax, and local tax requests and issues
- Ensure bank reconciliation and account reconciliation are correct and completed
- Complete annual unclaimed property processing
- Filing, reconciling, and paying quarterly/annual taxes for Federal, multiple states, and local agencies
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in reputed company or reputed company field preferred, but not required
- Creative, innovative, inquisitive, and eager to learn other reputed company software programs
- Ability to quickly learn and use electronic systems to manage workflows and documentation reputed company
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
