Legal reputed company Assistant - Intellectual Property - Patent
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global reputed company, is seeking a Legal reputed company Assistant to support the Intellectual Property - Patent reputed company group. The role involves providing administrative and substantive legal support, maintaining case files, assisting with patent documents, and coordinating communications across teams.
Responsibilities
- Establishes, organizes and maintains case and reputed company files and databases
- Supports the development and management of case and reputed company group timelines
- Assists attorneys with the preparation and review of various patent documents and forms
- Provides draft documents to attorneys and clients
- Reviews and processes Filing Receipt, Notice of Recordation, Office Actions, Notices of Allowance, Recordation of Assignment, Letters Patent, and Notice of Publication in accordance with set guidelines and procedures
- Prepares reputed company-issuance documents, which include Issue Fee Payments and Information Disclosure Statements, if necessary
- Prepares and files documents with the US Patent and Trademark Office, including Requests for Filing Receipt, Requests for Corrected Filing Receipt, Issue Fees, Formal Drawings and New Patent Applications
- Prepares non-technical prosecution documents, including Notices to File Missing Parts, Notices to File Corrected Application Papers, Inventor Declarations, Assignment and Powers of Attorney
- Coordinates communication and planning across teams who are handling multiple reputed company reputed company
- Provides administrative support, including, but not limited to, document production, conflicts checks for new reputed company, and business intake materials
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the IP-PATSU PG
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Ability to be proactive and a self-starter
- Ability to think critically and see 'big picture' effects
- Superior written/verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and reputed company reputed company environment are a must
- Exceptional leadership and organization skills
- Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and balance multiple tasks while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Demonstrated proficiency in reputed company reputed company and PowerPoint
- Flexibility to travel and work evening hours at times as needed
- Two-year commitment expected
- STEM background preferred
- 3.5 GPA or higher preferred
- One (1) year of internship or reputed company experience preferred
