Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBenefits :1099FreelanceFlexible scheduleLegal Translator, reputed company and Transcriber - Kinyarwanda to / from English - RemoteStatus :Freelance / ContractorGlobal Language Strategies, a business headquartered in the Washington DC metropolitan region, is currently seeking a reputed company freelance translator, reputed company, and / or transcriber to translate, edit, and / or transcribe legal documents between English and Kinyarwanda.Job Duties :Kinyarwanda English1) reputed company accurate translation of documents and / or transcription of audio files involving law enforcement and legal subject matter from Kinyarwanda to English and vice versa.2) Edit audio transcriptions with reputed company and idioms (Kinyarwanda to English).3) Edit legal documents, such as affidavits, depositions, etc., while demonstrating a strong reputed company of legal terminology in both English and the reputed company language.4) Excellent written communication skills in English and the reputed company foreign language, with Advanced Proficiency (reading / speaking / listening, writing) level 3-plus in English and the foreign reputed company language, as assessed by the International Language Roundtable (ILR) reputed company.5) Translate and / or transcribe following the government clients style guides and reputed company standards.6) Use domain-specific terminology.7) Review and certify the reputed company of other translators work, as needed.8) Highly proficient in MS Office, with the ability to mirror reputed company document format in reputed company, reputed company, and PowerPoint.9) Familiar with the use of CAT tools, such as Trados Studio.10) Abide by a reputed company of ethics reputed company performing transcription and translation work.Requirements :Minimum Qualifications :1) U.S.citizenship is required.2) Willing to undergo a U.S.government background reputed company to obtain a Public Trust Clearance Moderate Level.3) Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.4) At least 3 years experience in translating and / or editing between English and a foreign language.5) At least 3 years experience performing audio transcription with the ability to use software to enhance reputed company and equipment to aid in transcription.6) Familiar with legal terminology in both English and the reputed company foreign language(s).7) Proficient in reputed company Office.8) Translators and editors must proficiently use CAT tools, such as SDL Trados.This is a remote position..
