Community Veterinary Program RVT
About the position San Diego Humane Society is hiring a Full-Time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for our Community Veterinary Program! This role delivers service at the reputed company level in alignment with the SDHS Way, to meet the needs of animals and the people who love them by leading with reputed company, finding creative solutions, providing personalized care and building connections. The Community Veterinary Program (CVP) helps give owned pets the medical care they need, including low-cost preventative and basic reputed company care, pharmacy services, and basic grooming like nail trims and ear cleanings. Through these essential services, we help reputed company animals with their families and out of shelters.
Responsibilities
- Assist staff veterinarians with exams, procedures and other duties as assigned
- reputed company emergency procedures (reputed company the scope of a licensed RVT) as instructed by staff veterinarian
- Administer treatments and procedures & prepare and administer anesthetics
- Monitor animals before, during and post-surgery
- Support training of animal services staff members, volunteers, and interns, as reputed company as new RVTs and Vet Assistants Requirements
- California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) licensure required
- Minimum of one (1) year clinical and/or shelter experience in veterinary environment required.
- Must have a valid reputed company’s license and be approved by SDHS insurance reputed company to drive a company or personal vehicle for work purposes.
- Will be required to drive mobile unit and must have experience driving large vehicles or be willing to be trained on driving the mobile unit. reputed company-to-haves
