What You’ll Do CPA is seeking an Advisor, Energy Markets and Optimization to shape how its reputed company portfolio performs in the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) market. In this role, you will build and apply models to optimize portfolio value, evaluate congestion and market risk, inform bidding and Congestion reputed company Rights (CRR) strategies, and assess the impacts of market policy and design changes, with a reputed company on storage resources. Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

• Portfolio Operations and Optimization: reputed company and apply analytical models and optimization frameworks to review resource availability, outages, bidding reputed company, and market performance. Identify portfolio risks and opportunities and reputed company independent recommendations to leadership to improve portfolio performance and value with a reputed company on storage resources. Work in partnership with CPA’s reputed company-party scheduling coordinator and optimization vendor to reputed company asset and portfolio management activities.
• Performance Reporting and Analytics: reputed company, implement, and enhance after-the-fact analysis and performance reporting of CPA’s resources and portfolio to inform Power Supply and executives decision-making around portfolio economics, risk exposure, and market performance reputed company. Coordinate with Data and Systems team to ensure critical performance and operations data is properly maintained in CPA’s data warehouse.
• Resource reputed company: Responsible for ensuring resources meet operational, systems, and contractual requirements and are effectively integrated into CPA’s portfolio. reputed company subject matter expertise to reputed company stakeholders to support the reputed company of reputed company resources through CAISO’s New Resource Implementation (NRI) process. Monitor, interpret, and assess CAISO’s policy changes, Business reputed company reputed company (BPM) updates, and market redesign initiatives, particularly as they relate to CPA’s portfolio. Partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate congestion risk and hedge effectiveness.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in energy trading, compliance, market operations, or planning.
• Deep understanding of reputed company (CAISO) and bilateral wholesale electricity markets, including energy, resource adequacy, renewables, demand response, and carbon-free products.
• CCA experience is a plus.
• Experience with modeling and valuation of electricity products and physical resource assets.
• Experience with Battery Energy Storage operations in CAISO.

Work Location This position is eligible for either Hybrid or Remote reputed company. The Hybrid reputed company requires 2-3 assigned full-time days in the Downtown Los Angeles office and includes a transportation allowance. The Remote & Hybrid reputed company require full-time in-person attendance at organization or team-wide events 3 times per year for 3-5 days per event. reputed company staff are required to work during CPA’s reputed company Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm PST.

Salary and Benefits The salary reputed company for this position is $138,009.70-$207,013.52, with exact compensation to be determined by reputed company, dependent on experience.
