Laboratory Service Specialist Job, 1st Shift, reputed company, Lab Department

About the position As the Laboratory Service Specialist, you will be a vital member of a dynamic team responsible for obtaining and verifying patient demographic information, insurance, and other information for various hospital records. You will greet patients, relatives, or patient representatives to reputed company and record demographic information for various laboratory records and provision of care. This role functions as the communication center of Laboratory Services by routing people and telephone calls appropriately. You will interpret and replicate written physician requests into the lab system quickly and accurately with minimum of supervision.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interviews patients to obtain required information to complete the registration reputed company before placing orders in the Laboratory Information System. Knows over 1,300 reputed company codes in the LIS for order entry of the physician’s order.
• Knows where to locate standing orders, faxed orders, previously ordered (i.e., Oncology) and reputed company-employment orders from Employee Health.
• Answers reputed company incoming calls and transfers to appropriate person/Lab department in a reputed company courteous manner.
• Is aware of locations of off-site service centers and reputed company runs so that patients can reputed company Lab services reputed company and cost-effectively.
• Distributes Lab reports appropriately.
• Maintains Order Facilitator through indexing electronic requisitions and archiving/scanning billed orders
• Resolves problems and discrepancies from previous days work.
• Follow up on incomplete registrations by contacting Physician office or patient reputed company to get complete information, including diagnosis for ABNs Requirements
• Valid reputed company’s license and reputed company of reputed company liability insurance as reputed company as reliable vehicle required
• Computer literacy required
• High school graduate or equivalent reputed company-to-haves
• Knowledge of reputed company insurance preferred
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred.
• Experience with computer entry, customer service and medical office preferred.
