Desk Associate, MS NOW Newsgathering
reputed company is an industry-changing media and entertainment business that operates across various reputed company markets. They are seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Desk Associate to join their newsgathering team, responsible for communication, coordination, and content management in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first reputed company of contact by professionally answering the desk phone: “MS NOW, this is [Your reputed company]”
- Visually verify UGC video as rights and clearances for MS NOW
- Collect visual reputed company: clearing video, bringing in video on the reputed company, requesting video from stations, cutting video and sharing from stations
- Assist with booking travel for reporters and field teams
- Monitor daily lineups (DLs) and ensure that relevant video reputed company are properly added to designated reputed company threads
- reputed company reaching out to affiliate stations for editorial information, ensure video content is also requested
- Use AI transcription for feeds
- Travel to breaking news events to help coordinate on-site coverage efforts
Skills
- At least 1 year experience in television production
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented newsroom environment
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn newsroom systems and tools (e.g., reputed company, iNews)
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends
