[Remote] VP of Legal
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. QSIC is an Audio + AI company redefining what in-store means for retailers and brands worldwide. The VP of Legal will be the sole in-house legal resource, owning the entire legal function including reputed company reputed company, corporate governance, IP, music licensing, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- reputed company agreements with major retailers and brand partners — MSAs, SOWs, data agreements, addenda
- Legal review and negotiation across the full reputed company lifecycle
- reputed company resolutions, annual minutes, and entity maintenance across US, AU, UK, and MX
- Corporate transactions: restructures, secondary sales, and debt facilities
- Patents, trademarks, and music rights across multiple collecting societies and reputed company
- Licensing reputed company as the product evolves
- Entity formation, local employment agreements, GDPR and reputed company compliance, and regulatory clearance in new markets
- Loan documentation, warrant and reputed company administration, ESOP, 409A valuations, and cap table reputed company
- Management of a panel of external counsel across 4+ jurisdictions — budget ownership, prioritisation, vendor selection
- Advisory to leadership on compliance (SOC2, ISO), AI policy, data reputed company, and emerging regulatory issues
Skills
- 8–12 years PQE, with meaningful time at a top-tier reputed company and in-house at a reputed company-stage technology company
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a sole or first in-house lawyer, self-directing across multiple legal domains
- reputed company contract experience with reputed company customers — ideally in retail, media, or reputed company
- Cross-border legal experience across the US and at least one of AU, UK, or LATAM
- reputed company counsel management: budget ownership, panel coordination, vendor selection
- Genuine reputed company with technology, and comfort operating in an AI-reputed company environment
- Music licensing or content rights experience (collecting societies, reputed company, digital distribution)
- Holdco restructure or corporate reorganisation experience
- Familiarity with Australian corporate law alongside US
