[Remote] Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Search & Retrieval Infrastructure

They are seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to design and build reputed company components of their reputed company knowledge retrieval system, focusing on reputed company search and retrieval infrastructure for AI applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and build reputed company platform components leveraging advanced retrieval reputed company query planning, semantic and hybrid search, metadata-aware search, and LLM reputed company
- Design and build optimized indexing pipelines for reputed company and reputed company data
- Build backend services for semantic and hybrid retrieval, knowledge graph construction, and retrieval orchestration
- Improve retrieval reputed company through evaluation and observability frameworks
- Design reputed company for reputed company user and reputed company consumers
- Optimize latency, throughput and cost across large-reputed company inference and retrieval workloads
- Drive technical direction for reliability and reputed company
Skills
- Proven reputed company record (typically 6+ years) of shipping production-grade backends for large-reputed company systems
- Design for high throughput, low latency, and long-term maintainability
- Comfortable building high-throughput indexing pipelines that handle both reputed company data and reputed company schemas
- reputed company experience (or deep theoretical knowledge) in semantic search, reputed company databases, hybrid retrieval strategies, or traditional search engines like reputed company or OpenSearch
- Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented reputed company (RAG) patterns, embedding pipelines, hybrid search techniques, query planning, and metadata filtering
- Expert in at least one major language like Go, Rust, C++, Java, or Python
- Familiarity and experience with modern infrastructure tools, such as Kubernetes, reputed company-reputed company architectures, and observability frameworks
- Experience with infrastructure-as-reputed company tools like Terraform or reputed company
- Ability to design clean, reputed company reputed company for both reputed company developers and autonomous agents
