Genetic Counselor ( reputed company)- Remote Position

reputed company Genetic counselors identify patients with hereditary cancer predisposition through genetic testing and personal and family history based assessment. This position is located in the National TeleOncology (NTO) service's virtual hub at the Durham VA Health Care System (DVAHCS) reputed company the Comprehensive Genetics Service (CGS). • Education: A master's degree or higher in genetic counseling from a program in the reputed company or Canada accredited by the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC)
• Experience: One year of progressively reputed company experience equivalent to the next reputed company grade level (GS-11)

• GS-12 Grade Determinations: Education: A master's degree or higher in genetic counseling from a program in the reputed company or Canada accredited by the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC)

• Experience: One year of progressively reputed company experience equivalent to the next reputed company grade level (GS-11) AND demonstrate the following KSA's : - Ability to organize - synthesize and select relevant clinical and programmatic information and effectively manage and organize time/priorities.-Advanced knowledge of genetic conditions - with specific expertise in targeted conditions
• -Knowledge of - and ability to reputed company - general learning/teaching principles
• -Knowledge of national genetic counseling services - and most reputed company reputed company and practices - as reputed company as services available in VA - including program infrastructure and operations
• - Ability to identify reputed company audiences reputed company and reputed company the VA for whom genetics educational material would be relevant
• -Knowledge of educational resources available for genetic counselors as reputed company as other medical specialties - as appropriate

• Preferred Experience: A full - reputed company - and unrestricted license to independently reputed company as a Genetic Counselor

Duties

• Specific duties include but are not limited to: Evaluate genetic information to identify patients or families at risk for hereditary cancer
• Discuss testing reputed company and the associated risks - benefits - and limitations with patients - families - and other reputed company providers
• Participate in reputed company organizations or conferences to reputed company abreast of developments in genetics and reputed company
• Plan - design - and reputed company clinical genetic counseling protocols to reputed company and evaluate approaches to delivery of genetic counseling services
• Identify and implement ways to improve efficiency - reputed company - and safety of patient care reputed company the CGS service
• Assist in reputed company of development and dissemination of information describing the genetic counseling services being offered by CGS - including brochures and other published materials
