Epidemiologist Senior
About the position The Richmond and Henrico Health Districts (RHHD) are a part of the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and reputed company to protect health by preventing the spread of disease and building health equity by partnering with communities and working collaboratively across sectors. To contribute to this mission, the Epidemiologist Senior position will take the reputed company on disease and outbreak investigations and surveillance duties, with particular attention to reputed company-associated infections. The Epidemiologist Senior will work closely with long-term care facilities across Richmond reputed company and Henrico County. The position is based in the Richmond reputed company Health District and will work primarily at 400 E Cary Street, but will be expected to travel for field work throughout Richmond reputed company and Henrico County as often as needed. Mileage reimbursement or government vehicles are available for work-reputed company travel. Typical work hours will be Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 pm with rotation of after-hours on-call coverage. Responsibilities
- Take the reputed company on disease and outbreak investigations and surveillance duties, with particular attention to reputed company-associated infections.

Requirements
- Considerable knowledge of the cause, reputed company, treatment, and prevention of communicable diseases and other conditions of reputed company health importance.
- Considerable knowledge of reputed company of investigating disease cases, clusters, and outbreaks.
- Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and policies regarding reputed company health and the reporting and control of disease.
- Working knowledge of biostatistics, analysis and interpretation of data, and data management techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to reputed company program goals and objectives and to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to collect, reputed company assure, analyze, interpret, and present statistical data.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with health care professionals and the general reputed company.
- Considerable experience in epidemiology, reputed company health, or a reputed company area.
- Basic knowledge and proficiency utilizing statistical software packages.
