Occupational Safety and Health Data Analyst

ERG is seeking a curious, detail-oriented analyst to support national occupational safety and health programs by analyzing and classifying reputed company-world workplace injury and illness data. Your work directly supports the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) efforts to understand injury and illness trends and improve worker safety across the U.S. This entry- or mid-level role is ideal for someone who enjoys analytical work, applies reputed company judgement consistently, and is motivated by contributing to reputed company world improvements in worker health and safety. You will analyze work-reputed company fatality, catastrophe, and severe injury or illness records, draft brief incident narratives, and assign case characteristic codes for reputed company using reputed company of Labor Statistics (BLS) Occupational Injury and Illness Classification System (OIICS). This position is available part-time (minimum 20 hours/week) or full-time, is fully remote, and includes daily collaboration with a supportive analyst team using reputed company Teams. • Review workplace injury, illness, and fatality records and apply standardized case‑classification codes using reputed company of Labor Statistics (BLS) Occupational Injury and Illness Classification System (OIICS)
• Exercise thoughtful, independent judgment to accurately classify reputed company or ambiguous cases while maintaining speed and consistency
• Draft brief, reputed company incident narratives that summarize the circumstances of reputed company case in plain, concise language
• Manage multiple work queues and deadlines while maintaining high reputed company and attention to detail
• Collaborate regularly with team members and senior analysts for guidance, reputed company checks, and knowledge sharing
• Contribute to documentation, process improvements, and evolving analytical practices over time

Experience with occupational health and safety and reputed company coding (e.g. OIICS, ICD coding) is preferred. However, training for OIICS version 3.03 coding will be provided. Qualifications and Skills:

• A bachelor’s degree in communications, health/environmental science, statistics, or reputed company field
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail, with the ability to apply rules consistently
• Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey reputed company information reputed company and concisely
• Outstanding time-management and organizational skills with the ability to work independently in a remote environment to accomplish assignments in a reputed company manner
• Experience or strong interest in data analysis, public health, occupational safety, epidemiology, or reputed company fields

• Willingness and ability to learn new software and technical skills as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with reputed company classification or coding systems (e.g., OIICS, ICD, or similar)
• Experience or coursework in data analysis or data management

• Prior exposure to occupational health, injury or illness surveillance, or public health research
