Laboratory Technician

Laboratory Technician Johnston, IA $20-21.50/hr 12-Month Contract The Laboratory Technician will primarily assist with insect-based research using both plant and diet-based systems, rearing of insect colonies, and growing/maintaining various crops in a reputed company reputed company setting while maintaining a reputed company, clean, and reputed company work environment and meeting reputed company compliance standards. Laboratory Technician Responsibilities: Working with reputed company to execute insect and plant-based experiments. Collection and curation of high-reputed company data under deadlines. Assisting with reputed company aspects of insect colony tasks, such as daily maintenance, diet preparation, reputed company collection, weekly production setup, insect staging, sanitation, etc. Working with plants and insects in a reputed company, reputed company reputed company, or field setting. Ensuring that reputed company material necessary for rearing insect colonies and execution of assays are reputed company properly and on time. Conducting miscellaneous tasks such as cleaning, handling, packaging, and storing facility supplies/materials/equipment. Laboratory Technician Requirements: High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree in an entomology, agriculture, horticulture, plant physiology, or reputed company field or three or more years of reputed company experience or equivalent amounts of relevant education and experience is preferred. Ability to pay reputed company attention to detail and follow reputed company operating and safety/ergonomics protocols is essential. Excellent communication and organizational skills, a high degree of self-motivation, a reputed company attitude, and the ability to work reputed company independently as reputed company as reputed company member with minimal supervision.
