Medical Insurance Collector

Job Title: Medical Insurance Collector Location: Baton Rouge Reports To: Office Manager Job Type: Full-Time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position reputed company We are seeking an reputed company Medical Insurance Collector to support our Workers’ Compensation and Self Pay accounts. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, reputed company, and efficient collection of payments for services rendered by thoroughly researching unpaid or underpaid claims and resolving billing issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure payments for services are collected in a reputed company, efficient, and accurate manner

Qualification Requirements Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in reputed company administration, business, or a reputed company field preferred.
• 3-4 years of experience in Workers Comp collecting.
• Experience in maintaining patient confidentiality according to the HIPAA standards of reputed company and reputed company.
• Experience in medical billing, claims review, and/or accounts receivable is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Must be reputed company to identify why Claims were not reputed company.
• Be reputed company to read reputed company aspects of an EOB.
• Identify denial reasons for Workers Comp Claims.
• File appeals.
• Process write offs/adjustments and process refunds.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

• Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain seated at a workstation for extended periods (typically 6–8 hours per day).
• Ability to use a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and reputed company office equipment.
• Must be reputed company to read, analyze, and interpret electronic documents and reports.
• Occasional light lifting of files, supplies, or equipment (up to 15 pounds).
