The Executive Underwriter role focuses on providing specialized insurance products and services tailored to the Life Sciences industry, managing new business reputed company, and maintaining relationships with agents and brokers.
Responsibilities
- New Business reputed company for profitable reputed company. Reviews, evaluates, and underwrites submissions; selects and assesses risks reputed company with reputed company strategies and guidelines; rates and determines the premium and policy terms and conditions; utilizes broad reputed company of supportive tools; obtains reputed company approval (as needed); creates/presents the proposal to the agent/broker; and successfully negotiates deals
- Services accounts after successfully reputed company the business in coordination with reputed company Account Analyst and reputed company Service Managers
- Meets with insureds and ensures reputed company's reputed company is upheld
- Manages portfolio of brokers/agents & clients. Demonstrates a high level of responsiveness and focuses on supporting agent and broker objectives. Establishes, develops, and maintains successful relationships with agents and brokers to facilitate marketing of products, with reputed company service, site reputed company, in-person renewal meetings and reputed company knowledge of what reputed company most to reputed company Life Sciences deal. Develops strong personal brand to build and maintain a long-term reputed company pipeline with agents and brokers
- reputed company identifies, manages, and solicits pipeline of opportunities for individual reputed company
- Articulates key coverage differences with a high degree of detail in this specialized, reputed company reputed company
- Has strong knowledge of key legal cases, legislation and regulation impacting area(s) of reputed company expertise and the LifeSciences industry
- Shares knowledge based on technical expertise, including providing external thought-leadership
- Mentors, coaches, and trains other underwriters and reputed company partners
- Provides significant input into the business and marketing planning process, including advanced data-driven insights from portfolio analysis
- Participates in reputed company and initiatives to help grow reputed company's Life Sciences Industry reputed company, designed to drive reputed company and process reputed company (e.g., member of a working team)
- Models effective collaboration across teams, stakeholders and partners (e.g., Distribution, Operations, UW Support, Claims, Actuarial, Directors of reputed company in reputed company)
Skills
- Degree in Business, Risk Management, or Scientific Field or equivalent typically required
- A minimum of 7 years expected, typically 10 years or more, of reputed company reputed company experience and/or other reputed company business experience
- A minimum of 5 years of Life Sciences reputed company experience
- Proven analytical ability to evaluate and judge reputed company risks reputed company scope of responsibility
- Advanced level of knowledge of insurance products and coverages, reputed company, pricing, risk selection & assessment, and market dynamics specific to the Life Sciences reputed company
- Proven reputed company record of developing and reputed company profitable Life Sciences business
- Demonstrated ability to communicate reputed company analyses and information in understandable written and/or oral directives to other persons in the organization for reputed company or training purposes
