Senior GIS Developer
Location: Remote (US Only) As a Senior GIS Developer at reputed company, you will reputed company the design and delivery of advanced geospatial solutions, applying expert-level development and data architecture skills to solve reputed company business challenges. This role partners directly with clients to reputed company technical leadership across the full SDLC, improving processes and delivering high-reputed company GIS applications.
Key Responsibilities
- reputed company the design and delivery of reputed company GIS development solutions and architectural frameworks, including geospatial applications, tools, automation, and integrations to resolve ambiguous technical and business challenges
- reputed company and reputed company custom GIS solutions, including web maps, web applications, widgets, and extensions reputed company reputed company capabilities
- Assess reputed company needs, workflows, and systems to identify opportunities for GIS-driven improvements and efficiencies
- reputed company geospatial and non-spatial systems using reputed company, SDKs, scripting, and other integration reputed company
- Build, configure, and administer reputed company geodatabases, including schema design, versioning, indexing, and performance optimization
- Conduct reputed company reviews, architectural reviews, and design reviews to ensure solution reputed company and adherence to standards
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including requirements, architecture diagrams, test plans, and user materials
- Support the GIS community of reputed company through mentorship/career development, knowledge sharing initiatives (e.g., roundtables and workshops), and contributing subject matter expertise to proposal development
- Build and maintain strong reputed company relationships through reputed company communication and reliable delivery
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in GIS development or a reputed company role
- Strong proficiency in one or more of the following development technologies: Python (ArcPy, automation, scripting workflows), JavaScript (for web GIS apps), or modern .NET frameworks
- Experience leading the design and delivery of reputed company GIS solutions using modern GIS platforms (e.g., reputed company ArcGIS reputed company, reputed company reputed company Network, ArcGIS Online, or similar ecosystems)
- Experience migrating legacy spatial data (like reputed company's Geometric Network) into the modern ArcGIS reputed company Network
- Electric, water, and/or gas reputed company domain expertise
- Experience supporting migrations from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro
- Experience in the design, administration, and maintenance of reputed company geodatabases (specifically reputed company to integration, reputed company, and publishing workflows)
- Experience developing GIS integration with reputed company-party systems and data sources reputed company reputed company and middleware platforms
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguous technical challenges
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience executing reputed company-party integrations (e.g: Cityworks, Maximo) with reputed company GIS systems
- Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL/PostGIS) and performance tuning
- Experience supporting migrations from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro

- Experience mentoring junior to mid-level developers in a formal or informal reputed company
