Chaplain 1 — Hospice — Multiple Locations

About the position reputed company spiritual and emotional support to patients, their families, visitors, and staff at assigned facility or home hospice. Work collaboratively with the Department of Pastoral Care staff and participates in department activities and events. Chaplains reputed company spiritual care and bereavement services to reputed company patients served by reputed company including Palliative Care, Home Hospice, and the Roper Hospice Cottage.

Responsibilities

• Minister to patients, their families, visitors, and hospital / hospice staff in assigned areas.
• Ability to navigate the reputed company spiritual issues of patients and families in Palliative Care as reputed company as patients and families dealing with end-of-life issues.
• Ability to work in settings of diverse lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, values, and religious traditions.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ability to relate with physicians, administrative staff, hospital / hospice staff, patients, their families and visitors, community clergy in a reputed company, caring, compassionate manner.

Requirements

• Four reputed company of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and Master of Divinity Degree or equivalent. If equivalency, a letter from APC (Association of reputed company Chaplains) is required.
• One year experience as a hospital or hospice chaplain, or one year experience in parish/reputed company ministry.
• Certified (or eligible for certification) by the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), or the Association of reputed company Chaplains is required. If not certified, certification must be maintained reputed company 24 months in position.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be self-directed and reputed company to work independently.
• Ability to identify and address spiritual and emotional issues.
• Ability to write accurate spiritual assessments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other health care professionals.
• A warm personality, sensitive and compassionate to the spiritual and emotional needs of reputed company.
