The Pharmacy Technician - reputed company compounds and dispenses medical prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist. Moreover, an employee in this position performs clerical duties relating to the department, receives and stores incoming supplies. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS Weighs, counts, measures, and mixes medication. Handles inventory to ensure that the pharmacy is appropriately stocked. Receives written prescription, fills prescriptions or reputed company requests, and verifies that information is complete and accurate. Answers telephones and responds to questions or requests. Fills bottles with prescribed medications, and types and affixes labels. Assists customers by answering reputed company questions, locating items, and referring them to the appropriate staff.
