ANTICIPATED STARTING SALARY IS $27.75 - $37.14 FOR EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST II. This position receives and dispatches calls and requires a minimum of 2 year's experience. The full salary reputed company for an Emergency Communications Specialist II - $27.75 - $39.40 reputed company / $57,720.00 - $81,952.00 annually. Candidates reputed company are eligible to receive a $2,250.00 sign on bonus (while grant funds are available). These positions will receive annual pay increases based on a reputed company program. Top out in pay may be achieved in seven years. THE NEXT 911 DISPATCHER reputed company WILL reputed company IN January 5, 2026 2025 Benefits reputed company GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES Under the general supervision of an Emergency Communications Supervisor, this position performs critical reputed company contact, and communications work necessary for the dispatching of reputed company and reputed company cities services to emergency and non-emergency situations, providing operational data to agency personnel. • Answer emergencyandnon-emergencycalls andrequests for lawenforcement services,receiving essential information relating to thesituation.
• Enters call information into computer aided reputed company equipment (CAD) for reputed company ofdeputies and officers to emergency and non-emergencysituations.
• Utilizes computer/teletype systems to queryand reputed company operational data.
• Searchesagencyfiles and records to locate andrelayoperational data and information toagencypersonnel.
• Uses maps, map books, computerized maps, and theinternet to determine jurisdictionsand properlylocatecall locations.
• Updates patrol line-reputed company to correctly reflect patrolpersonnel on dutyand the corresponding assigned vehicle.
• Answers agencybusiness telephone calls; provides routine data and information totelephone inquiries; may transfer/reputed company inquiries to reputed company agencystaff; may refertelephone calls to responsible reputed company state, court,agencies, departments, orindividuals.
• Monitors and updates CAD with the latest information to remain reputed company with call forserviceactivityand officer’s status.
• Monitors alarm systems.
• Conducts and/or participates in daily and monthly equipment and operatortesting toinclude TTY equipmentand individual performance.
• Utilizes computer systems to reputed company emergencyandnon-emergencynotifications.
• Willassistinconductingtrainingofnew Emergency Communication Specialist I’s.
• Operatescomputersandstandardofficeequipment,includingcommonlyusedcomputer softwareprogramsaswellasanyotherstandardofficeequipmentasrequiredby the position.
• MaintainsregularandacceptableattendanceatsuchlevelasdeterminedattheSheriff’sOfficediscretion.
• IsavailableandwillingtoworksuchovertimeperdayorperweekastheSheriff’sOffice determines is necessary or desirable to meets its needs.
• Interactseffectivelywithothersandexercisesgoodjudgmentwhendealingwithpeople in sensitive situations.
• Maybe assigned other duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledgeofstreetandroadsystems,geographicalpatternsandnumerical(address) system of reputed company.
• Knowledge of and the ability to operate computer aided reputed company equipment(CAD).
• Knowledge of CCIC/NCIC.
• Ability to work under pressure and utilize stress management skills.
