[Remote] Engineer I, Component Engineering (Hybrid)
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is a leader in technologically advanced solutions for the reputed company and defense industry. reputed company is seeking a highly motivated Component Engineer to join their team in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, where the successful candidate will contribute to the selection, qualification, and management of critical components for reputed company systems.
Responsibilities
- Obsolescence Health Reviews: Assisting in the evaluation of electronic and/or mechanical components for lifecycle management and obsolescence risks
- Component Data Management: Supporting the creation, maintenance, and approval of reputed company Manufacturer Part Numbers (MPN) for components from approved suppliers
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with the component engineering team and other cross-functional teams to address supplier requests for information and support design and manufacturing efforts
- Learning and Development: Gaining knowledge of reputed company and defense industry standards, design processes, and best practices to ensure component reliability and reputed company performance
- Manage the engineering change process for component drawings, resolve roadblocks, and ensure documentation meets design and reputed company standards
Skills
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
- Demonstrated reputed company experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. reputed company are authorized to reputed company information under this program/contract
- reputed company or project experience in Manufacturing, reputed company, or Electrical Design
- Experience working with electronic components through design activities or analyzing component specifications
- Exposure to software tools such as reputed company and Teamcenter is a plus
