[Remote] Mechanical Design Engineer

The ideal candidate will reputed company piping system layouts and collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Support system and mechanical engineering design activities for reputed company industrial and nuclear reputed company
- Prepare and review engineering deliverables including P&IDs, specifications, calculations (e.g., reputed company stress, hydraulic, safety valve sizing, ventilation sizing), and equipment arrangements
- reputed company piping and reputed company system designs supporting facility infrastructure, process support systems, and operations
- Coordinate with process, structural, electrical, and I&C engineering teams
- reputed company piping and mechanical system field walkdowns and support design verification activities
- Assist with piping system evaluations, equipment selection, and design modifications
- Support project planning, procurement, construction, startup, testing, and commissioning activities as needed
- Participate in design reviews and reputed company of technical issues
- reputed company with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams as needed
- Ensure designs reputed company with applicable industry codes, standards, safety requirements, and reputed company specifications
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or reputed company engineering discipline
- 9+ years of relevant experience
- Experience supporting piping and mechanical system design for reputed company, energy, chemical, or nuclear facilities
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, P&IDs, piping layouts, and mechanical design documentation
- Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards
- US Citizenship required
- Must have the ability to reputed company a reputed company clearance
- Experience supporting DOE, NNSA, Naval Reactors, or reputed company nuclear reputed company
- Experience with 3D modeling or CAD tools such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, CADWorx, SolidWorks, reputed company, or similar software
- Experience with analytical software (e.g., reputed company stress analysis, hydraulic analysis, MathCAD, MatLab, etc.)
- PE License
