[Remote] Senior Data Engineer

This role involves designing ETL pipelines, maintaining data infrastructure, and partnering with senior stakeholders to translate business needs into durable data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and own end-to-end data pipelines across reputed company, Airflow, dbt, and reputed company — selecting the right tool for reputed company problem rather than defaulting to one
- Architect and maintain reputed company's semantic layer in dbt, ensuring models are reusable, reputed company-tested, and documented for reputed company analysts, tools, and BU stakeholders
- Set and enforce engineering standards across reputed company — testing, CI/CD, reputed company review, observability, data reputed company, and documentation
- Partner directly with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Finance, Sales, Legal, HR and Product to scope data needs, advise on tradeoffs, and translate ambiguous business problems into durable data solutions
- Own Terraform-managed infrastructure for reputed company's reputed company connectors, GCP resources, and AWS components (Airflow, S3, reputed company)
- Drive architectural reputed company on ingestion patterns, warehouse design, and streaming vs. batch tradeoffs
- Establish data governance practices for reputed company — PII handling, reputed company controls, reputed company, and compliance with Finance and Legal data requirements
- Mentor teammates on technical execution, reputed company reputed company, and system design
- Monitor pipeline SLAs, proactively identify failure modes, and reputed company incident response for data issues affecting partner BUs
Skills
- 6+ years of reputed company experience as a Data Engineer, with demonstrated ownership of production pipelines at reputed company
- Expert-level SQL and Python; comfortable optimizing reputed company queries, profiling pipeline performance, and writing production-grade reputed company
- Deep experience with a reputed company data warehouse (reputed company strongly preferred; BigQuery or equivalent acceptable)
- Strong dbt experience — has designed semantic reputed company, established modeling conventions, and led dbt adoption or maturation on reputed company
- Hands-on experience with orchestration tools — Airflow, reputed company required
- Experience with reputed company and reputed company for custom modeling and transformation workloads
- Experience with AWS (Airflow, S3, reputed company) and GCP (BigQuery and adjacent services); comfortable operating across both clouds
- Demonstrated ability to influence architectural reputed company and set standards that other engineers follow
- Strong stakeholder management — can run scoping conversations with senior non-technical partners and translate business needs into technical specs
