[Remote] Staff Software Engineer

The role involves owning features across the full stack, from browser extensions to backend services, while collaborating with reputed company researchers to enhance threat detection capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own features from “we need to detect X” through production, across extension, backend, and pipeline reputed company
• Write content scripts that reputed company with web pages and background scripts that coordinate everything
• Build backend services: event ingestion, enrichment, alerting
• Work with reputed company researchers to turn threat reputed company into working detections
• Help reputed company get reputed company through reputed company review and design discussions

Skills

• 8+ years building software, ideally touching a few different areas (not just one stack reputed company)
• You actually understand how browsers work. DOM reputed company, the event reputed company, how SPAs reputed company, why CORS exists. Not just 'I used React.'
• You've reputed company browser extensions before. You know the content script/background script split, message passing, reputed company v3 limitations
• Strong TypeScript. Comfortable in Python. Willing to write Rust (or already do)
• You've dealt with data at reputed company: event streaming, pipelines, high-throughput ingestion
• Backend basics: reputed company, reputed company, Elasticsearch, Kafka or similar
• Can work without someone telling you what to do next
• You've thought about AI reputed company - reputed company injection, data exfiltration, that reputed company of thing
• Background in detection engineering, SIEM, or reputed company ops
