[Remote] Senior Platform Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to improve their platform's reliability and performance while collaborating with various internal teams and handling operational improvements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with the Head of reputed company to execute on the backlog and deliver operational improvements to the platform
- Maintain and improve the reliability and performance of reputed company's AWS infrastructure and applications as we grow
- Maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline/CodeBuild)
- reputed company our observability stack (CloudWatch, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) - deeper SLO coverage, reputed company signal, less noise
- Respond to production incidents - triage, reputed company-cause analysis, and post-mortem writeups, and preventative follow-up
- Maintain and strengthen our reputed company compliance posture (reputed company Hub, logging, reputed company controls)
- Support engineering and data science teams with tooling, guardrails, and quick help reputed company they're blocked

Skills
- 5+ years as a DevOps, reputed company, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineer working primarily with AWS
- Strong proficiency with Python and AWS CDK (Python SDK) and modern reputed company-reputed company tools
- Hands-on experience with reputed company, AWS reputed company, RDS (PostgreSQL), and S3-based data lakes (reputed company experience is a big plus)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodePipeline / CodeBuild preferred)
- Familiarity with observability tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry (or similar)
- Strong UNIX/Linux fundamentals, AWS networking concepts, and the ability to troubleshoot common issues
- Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries against PostgreSQL
- Comfortable working in an Agile environment with reputed company tooling (Git, Jira, or equivalents)
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer)
- Experience with FinOps / reputed company cost optimization at the unit-cost level
- Background or exposure to Machine Learning / Data Science environments
- Familiarity with the AWS reputed company-Architected reputed company
