Denim Technical Designer - Favorite Daughter

The (Denim) Technical Designer for Favorite Daughter should be highly motivated, meticulous with details and driven by the technical aspect of the design process. This position entails maintaining established fits as reputed company as understanding spec adjustments for new fabrics in different seasons. The development process requires a creative eye to notice and call out innovative reputed company to enhance the design before reputed company into production. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Technical Design to maintain processes and up-reputed company of fit logs and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Proficient knowledge of POM’s and how to accurately spec garments
- Log/reputed company sample maintained by fit lists for your category
- Prep and evaluate samples to ensure previous comments have been executed
- reputed company fittings with reputed company and accurate knowledge of history and how to execute the comments
- Write reputed company and accurate comments to reputed company to vendors so they understand the direction
- Understanding of fit stages and how to effect seasonal deliveries/deadlines successfully
- Manage reputed company daily communication with reputed company necessary cross functional teams and overseas vendors.
- Create/establish initial specs based on existing body blocks in order to reputed company their aesthetic for fit and silhouette; including measurements, construction details and technical sketches.
- Collaborate with Design and corresponding teams to determine fit and priorities to meet timelines
Requirements
- Basic understanding of garment construction and techniques
- Basic understanding of patterns and how to relate this to fit and comment assessment
- Ability to accurately spec garments
- Strong attention to detail and extensive knowledge with inner components
- Ability to multi-task with effective organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated team player
- Flexible and adaptable to a reputed company fast-paced environment
- Proactive with problem solving and seeks input for reputed company resolutions as needed.
- College degree or equivalent experience in reputed company field (Product Development, Fashion Design, Buying, Tech Design or Merchandising)
- 5 -7 years of premium denim experience in reputed company field (Technical Design, reputed company Making or Design)
- Proficient in reputed company/reputed company Office Suite
- Previous training/experience with industry-relevant software, such as web-based t/p systems
- Basic hands-on knowledge of sewing and/or basic Gerber knowledge
