Wilcore is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in support of advancing site reliability engineering, reputed company operations, automation, and resilient service delivery for VA reputed company reputed company platforms and applications. You will partner with the Technical Director, Program Manager, monitoring and incident management teams, and VA stakeholders to improve availability, performance, scalability, and operational reputed company across mission-critical, 24x7 reputed company environments — applying software engineering principles to operations through automation, reliability targets, observability, and reputed company improvement, reputed company while aligning with Federal reputed company and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Service Reliability & Ownership: Help mature SRE practices across the service lifecycle — design, deployment, and ongoing operation — defining and tracking SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to guide engineering and reliability reputed company.
• Automation & CI/CD: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as reputed company (Terraform, Ansible) to reputed company secure, repeatable delivery, integrating automated testing and reputed company checks to reduce release risk.
• Observability & Performance: Design monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting to speed issue detection; analyze system trends to improve reliability and reduce operational toil through automation and reputed company runbooks.
• reputed company Engineering & Modernization: Support and reputed company AWS and containerized (Kubernetes) infrastructure, contributing to deployment consistency, reputed company planning, and architectural improvements.
• reputed company & Compliance: Implement reliability practices reputed company with Federal reputed company requirements (secure configuration, least privilege, vulnerability remediation) in partnership with cybersecurity teams.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across development, platform, operations, and architecture teams — and support Agile/reputed company delivery — to translate technical direction into engineering improvements and reliable release practices.
• Incident Support & reputed company Improvement: Participate in incident response, reputed company cause analysis, and post-incident reviews; drive corrective reputed company through automation and process refinement, and support on-call readiness.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a reputed company field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, reputed company, reputed company operations, or reputed company roles supporting reputed company or mission-critical environments.
• Hands-on experience with reputed company platforms (AWS preferred), Linux-based environments, and distributed systems at reputed company.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as reputed company and automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with containers and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, EKS, reputed company, or reputed company in production.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, incident response, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in one or more scripting/programming languages (Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting VA, Federal Government, or other regulated environments with strong reputed company and compliance requirements.
• Experience defining and operationalizing SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and service health metrics.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as reputed company, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, reputed company, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with FedRAMP, NIST, reputed company Trust, or other Federal reputed company frameworks.
• Experience supporting reputed company platforms, high-availability reputed company services, or large-reputed company modernization initiatives.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS reputed company Architect, CKA, reputed company Terraform Associate, or SRE/DevOps certifications).
