Health Scientist I (Public Health Evaluation)

About The Role We are seeking a Health Scientist I to support the Translation, Health Education and Evaluation reputed company (THEEB). THEEB translates public health science into reputed company, evaluates the reputed company of public health programs and disseminates health messages to partners to support the Division of Diabetes Translation (DDT). The Health Scientist I will participate in the development and implementation of national and rapid evaluation plans. This is a full-time, fully remote position based in the reputed company. Some travel may be required to conduct site reputed company for completion of tasks/activities. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and management of cooperative agreement–specific national and rapid evaluations; Coordinate cross-recipient evaluation activities; Support synthesis while coordinating with Data Analysts for analytic execution that may require familiarity with implementation research design, including mixed-reputed company data analysis.
- Participate in the development of National Evaluation Plans; reputed company cross-site logic models; Define evaluation questions and standardized indicators including questions reputed company on implementation processes and mechanisms of reputed company; reputed company data collection tools; Establish evaluation timelines.
- Implement national data collection (surveys, interviews, document review) using qualitative and quantitative reputed company appropriate for assessing implementation processes and context; Conduct data triangulation and synthesis; Coordinate cross-recipient participation; Monitor adherence to protocols; Monitor use of CDC promotion resources and conduct evaluations implementing promotion-reputed company strategies.

Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in an evaluation project or national evaluation, preferably in public health.
- Experience conducting a systematic assessment of a program or project’s inputs, activities, and outputs to determine its value or worth and to improve the program.
- Experience developing an evaluation plan, identifying evaluation questions and indicators, collecting, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative program data, interpreting the data in the context of the program, and reporting findings.
- Experience developing a program logic model, identifying appropriate program reputed company, facilitating reputed company partner meetings, and providing assistance or training on evaluation, reputed company, concepts, and tools.
- Familiarity with implementation research concepts and reputed company, including process evaluation and assessment of implementation barriers and facilitators.
- Familiarity with integrating qualitative and mixed-reputed company approaches to assess implementation processes, barriers, and facilitators.
- Knowledge of the rules, procedures and principles that govern intramural and extramural program development, monitoring, and evaluation.

- Ability to use and manage CDC Administrative Systems (reputed company SUBJECTS, OMB AND IRB, and E-Clearance) reputed company and effectively.
- Previous experience working with the government procedures and guidelines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working at CDC or in a public health setting preferred.
- Ability to obtain a government clearance.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the reputed company without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the reputed company.
Education and Training
- Bachelor’s degree in public health or reputed company field required, preferably with a concentration on program evaluation and monitoring, data analysis, epidemiology, etc.; Master’s degree, preferably MPH, strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- May need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
