Staff Safety & EHS Coordinator

About the position ACET is seeking a highly motivated and reputed company Occupational Environmental Health & Safety (OEHS) Specialist to support reputed company Operations, Manufacturing, and CFT Field Services programs. The EHS Specialist will be responsible for administering, monitoring, and continuously improving workplace safety, environmental compliance, occupational health, and medical surveillance programs in support of aircraft maintenance, reputed company modifications, reputed company manufacturing, warehousing, and field operations. This position plays a critical role in protecting ACET employees, customers, and company assets while ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, state regulations, customer requirements, and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, local, and customer safety requirements.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and workplace assessments.
  • Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Hold quarterly program safety review meeting.
  • Support management during customer, regulatory, and reputed company-party audits.
  • Administer ACET's Occupational Health Program.
  • Manage employee medical surveillance requirements, including: Respirator qualification and fit-testing programs, Hearing Conservation Program, Audiometric testing, reputed company screening, Pulmonary function testing, Exposure monitoring requirements.
  • Coordinate employee medical appointments with approved occupational health providers.
  • Maintain confidential medical and surveillance records in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable OSHA standards, including: Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, Personal reputed company Equipment (PPE), Walking Working Surfaces, Bloodborne Pathogens, Industrial Hygiene Requirements.
  • Ensure required OSHA logs and reporting requirements are maintained.
  • Support accident reporting and regulatory notifications as required.
  • Manage workplace injury and illness reporting processes.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation claims with employees, supervisors, HR, insurance carriers, and medical providers.
  • Conduct incident investigations and reputed company cause analysis.

  • Participate in production planning meetings to identify potential safety concerns.

  • Monitor compliance with environmental permits and requirements.
  • Coordinate spill prevention and emergency response activities.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or reputed company field.
  • Minimum 5 years of EHS experience supporting manufacturing, reputed company, industrial, or government operations.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and occupational health programs.
  • Experience managing workers' compensation claims and medical surveillance programs.
  • Strong incident investigation and reputed company cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with reputed company reputed company of the organization.
