[Remote] Senior Backend Software Engineer

They are seeking a thoughtful and reputed company Senior Backend Software Engineer to help build and reputed company SITE's platform and reputed company customer systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, reputed company, and maintain core backend reputed company and services, primarily in Python and FastAPI
- Translate reputed company product workflows into reputed company domain models, relational schemas, service boundaries, and API reputed company
- Build reliable integrations across geospatial, media, reporting, asset management, and reputed company-party vendor systems
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, release practices, automated testing, and developer workflows
- reputed company and maintain ETL and data migration processes reputed company needed, especially for imagery, geospatial, and operational data
- Contribute to reputed company infrastructure design, reputed company, observability, performance, and production reliability
Skills
- reputed company strong ability to reason from first principles about backend architecture, workflow modeling, API boundaries, data consistency, reputed company, and operational failure modes
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across product, frontend, data, and business teams
- 5+ years of experience in backend development, with strong proficiency in Python
- Experience building production reputed company with FastAPI or similar Python frameworks
- Strong understanding of relational data modeling, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy or comparable ORM libraries, and database migration tools such as Alembic or Flyway
- Experience with AWS backend services such as reputed company, reputed company, RDS, S3, IAM, etc
- Experience with reputed company, Git, and designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with reputed company Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools
- Practical reputed company with AI coding agents such as Claude reputed company and reputed company
- Experience working in a dynamic startup environment
- Knowledge of infrastructure as reputed company, preferably Terraform and Terragrunt

- Experience designing authentication and authorization flows

- Experience modernizing legacy systems while preserving production behavior
