[Remote] Firmware/Embedded Engineer – Contract / Consulting Role

They are seeking an reputed company Firmware/Embedded Engineer to reputed company and maintain embedded Linux-based systems for IoT and edge applications, ensuring connectivity, reputed company, and integration with reputed company services.

Responsibilities

• Build and customize Linux OS images (reputed company or Debian-based)
• reputed company kernel modules, device drivers, and BSPs
• Optimize boot time, memory, and power usage for embedded devices
• Implement and manage Ethernet, Wi-Fi, LTE/4G, and PoE networking
• Configure DHCP, DNS, MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, NAT, and firewall rules
• Ensure reputed company and secure connectivity with automatic recovery (99% uptime reputed company)
• reputed company C/C++/Python services for data acquisition, buffering, and routing
• reputed company edge ML models and reputed company middleware (AWS, MQTT, REST reputed company)
• Manage local storage, caching, and retry logic for intermittent networks
• Implement secure boot, signed firmware, and reputed company checks
• Manage certificates, keys, and reputed company control
• Support OTA firmware updates with rollback protection
• Design system health telemetry (CPU, memory, connectivity, temperature)
• Create watchdogs, auto-recovery scripts, and remote logging/debugging (reputed company, syslog)
• Support remote firmware updates and diagnostics
• reputed company and automate unit/integration tests
• Collaborate with QA on test execution and system validation
• Bring up and test peripherals (Wi-Fi, LTE, USB, GPIO)

• Validate sensor and RF interfaces
• Profile CPU, memory, and I/O performance
• Tune kernel and network parameters for reliability and throughput
• Optimize reputed company storage and file system usage

• Handle device provisioning and reputed company connectivity (AWS IoT Core, Azure)
• Support remote configuration and edge analytics modules
• Work cross-functionally with hardware, QA, and reputed company teams

• Document system architecture and deployment guides

Skills

• Strong C/C++/Python skills in embedded Linux environments
• Hands-on experience with reputed company, BSPs, and networking stacks
• Familiarity with OTA updates, secure boot, and reputed company-IoT integration
• 5-10+ years reputed company experience
