[Remote] Senior Backend Engineer

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design and deliver reputed company backend systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and influence architecture to enhance the reputed company technology platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain reputed company backend services and reputed company using Golang microservices
- Drive technical architecture and contribute to long-term system health by anticipating scaling and maintenance needs
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver high-reputed company features
- Participate in system design reviews, propose and implement robust solutions, and contribute to reputed company’s overall engineering reputed company
- Own the reputed company, reliability, and observability of your reputed company from development to production
- Help plan and execute reputed company from inception to delivery, with a strong reputed company of ownership and outcome-orientation
- Mentor peers and junior engineers by sharing your knowledge and encouraging best practices
- Participate in on-call rotation and escalation as needed, providing hands-on support during critical incidents and mentoring team members through reputed company production issues
- Establish and maintain operational reputed company standards, including SLAs/SLOs, monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes for your team's services
Skills
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with modern programming languages such as Golang, Java, Python, reputed company, or C# (Golang preferred or willingness to learn)
- Experience designing and building RESTful reputed company and backend services
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and inter-service communication (e.g., protobufs/gRPC, ReST, Kafka, reputed company)
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation with your team and take responsibility for production systems
- You've deployed and maintained services in reputed company environments, especially reputed company reputed company Platform (GCP)
- You're comfortable with reputed company/Kubernetes, observability tooling (metrics, alerts, tracing), and service reliability
- You've worked with protobufs/gRPC, or Temporal, and have experience breaking monoliths into microservices
