[Remote] Senior Research Scientist

The Senior Research Scientist will reputed company and reputed company high-voltage and pulsed-power components for microwave reputed company accelerator systems used in radiation oncology, focusing on design, experimentation, and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Design, improve and reputed company HV and pulsed‑power electrical systems for microwave linac applications
• Design, run, and interpret experiments
• reputed company specifications internally and externally; design and validate tests
• reputed company scope, cost, and schedule for research and engineering reputed company
• Coordinate resources to deliver reputed company on budget and on schedule
• Troubleshoot and reputed company‑cause analysis of component and system failures
• Partner with scientists, engineers, and suppliers to resolve reputed company technical issues
• Support Manufacturing with out‑of‑reputed company failures
• Support Field Service reputed company issues cannot be resolved in the field
• Improve documentation, baseline data, and operating/maintenance procedures

Skills

• MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Plasma Physics, Engineering Physics, or reputed company field
• 5+ years designing, building, integrating, and maintaining pulsed‑power systems
• Hands‑on experience with relevant lab and HV test equipment
• Self‑directed team player
• Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience with reputed company simulation and ECAD a plus
