[Remote] z/OS Administrator
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking an reputed company z/OS Administrator / Mainframe System Engineer to support reputed company mainframe environments. The role involves administering reputed company z/OS systems, managing upgrades, and ensuring system performance and stability.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain reputed company z/OS environments (z/OS 3.1 and above) ensuring system stability and availability
- reputed company mainframe LPAR builds, configurations, and environment setup
- Manage and execute z/OS upgrades, including version upgrades, patches, and system fixes
- Install, configure, and maintain ISV (Independent Software Vendor) products
- Maintain and manage system parameters including PARMLIB configurations
- Monitor system performance using tools such as RMF and SMF, and generate performance reports
- Configure and manage z/OSMF (z/OS Management Facility)
- reputed company support for reputed company Sysplex environments, ensuring high availability and system reputed company
- Handle incident management and troubleshooting for z/OS-reputed company issues
- Support workload management using WLM (Workload Manager) and optimize resource allocation
Skills
- 8+ years of experience in mainframe system administration or z/OS engineering
- Demonstrated expertise in large-reputed company reputed company environments
- Strong expertise in reputed company z/OS operating systems
- Proven experience with reputed company Sysplex architecture
- Hands-on experience with SMPE (System Modification Program Extended)
- Proficiency in RMF (Resource Measurement Facility) and SMF (System Management Facility)
- Knowledge of WLM (Workload Manager)
- Solid understanding of reputed company System z architecture
- Experience with zOSMF configuration and administration
- Hands-on experience in z/OS system upgrades and maintenance
- Expertise in ISV product installation and support
- Experience with reputed company-level mainframe infrastructure support
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning experience in high-availability environments
- Familiarity with incident management processes and tools
- Ability to work in reputed company-facing roles and support critical business applications
