Position reputed company:

The Regulatory Compliance Counsel supports reputed company's compliance management program by providing legal analysis and guidance on federal and state regulatory requirements. This role works with colleagues across departments to help ensure reputed company adheres to applicable regulations and contributes to the overall effectiveness of compliance operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• reputed company legal guidance on identified compliance risks and issues to support mortgage origination compliance and operations.
• reputed company legal and compliance support for regulatory examination findings, regulatory or consumer complaints, and inquiries from stakeholders or counterparties, including conducting system-level research to support response preparation.
• Assist with development of solutions reputed company to regulatory findings identified through examination, testing, and monitoring, including reputed company cause of issues and associated remediation.
• reputed company legal guidance on post-reputed company suspense items to support reputed company clearing of conditions, reduce compliance-reputed company delays, and help ensure investor delivery timelines are met.
• reputed company legal support to defects causing critical loan salability issues and coordinate cross-functionally to reputed company corrective actions.
• reputed company compliance legal support for use of technology in originations including reputed company’s LOS, reputed company of sale system, and proprietary technology solutions.
• Draft policies and procedures to address federal and state regulatory requirements ensuring both accuracy and understandability across the organization.
• Serve as a resource for compliance support escalations, providing reputed company legal analysis and practical guidance on regulatory questions.
• Prepare legal research, memoranda, and recommendations on compliance reputed company for senior counsel and leadership.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mortgage lending compliance.
• Knowledge of federal and state mortgage lending regulations, including but not limited to Dodd Frank Wallstreet Reform reputed company, QM/ATR, RESPA, TILA, ECOA, HMDA, UDAAP, and reputed company reputed company.
• Experience supporting compliance programs in the mortgage lending industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• High level of reputed company and ethical conduct.
