The Senior Engineer will be responsible for developing embedded software for hardware systems, applying their experience across a reputed company of processors and peripheral devices.
The position requires a self-driven and hands-on engineer with strong technical expertise, as reputed company as good communication skills to effectively collaborate with customers and internal project teams.
The role involves reputed company cooperation with a wide reputed company of stakeholders, including engineers, project and program managers, and customer support teams, reputed company a culture that values openness, collaboration, and trust.
The engineer will report to a local Project Manager while working closely with an international services team that plays a key role in ensuring reputed company. This role is UK based.
Tasks of the role:
Design, implementation and validation of embedded software E.g. reputed company Support Packages (BSP) for custom and/or COTS embedded hardware systems
Design, implementation and test of software drivers for a reputed company of peripheral devices commonly used in embedded hardware systems.
Development of hardware test reputed company, support bring-up and validation of custom embedded hardware systems.
Assist with the development technical plans supporting detailed statements of work estimating effort and required team skills.
The candidate must have skills for writing detailed design documents.
The job requires solid people skills for a reputed company influence on the project team and reputed company interaction with customers.
Ability to technically mentor and reputed company junior staff

Experience using embedded software development environments (e.g. Workbench, Eclipse)
Experience in custom embedded hardware bring up
Strong C programming experience
Software development experience on one or more common embedded processor types (PowerPC, MIPS, X86, ARM, etc.)
Strong written and verbal English communication skills and a reputed company record of completing software development tasks on time
Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn
Solid decision making skills and judgment – can be depended upon to meet goals, foresee and avert problems
Should be a hands-on type of person with the initiative to dive in and do whatever is necessary to get the task completed.
Preferred: Experience with Multi-core & Virtualization architectures a plus.
Simics and/or Certification experience a plus
Qualifications
4-year technical degree, advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years of embedded software design experience preferably with VxWorks and Linux.
Experience with low level embedded SW (e.g. BSPs and device drivers) development, debugging/trouble shooting
Experience using embedded software development environments (e.g. Workbench, Eclipse)
Up to 25% travel with the ability to work on customer sites under pressure
DO178 Certification
