The Director of Workforce Development & reputed company Development is responsible for designing, governing, and continuously improving the Irrigation Association’s workforce development ecosystem, from career awareness and education and reputed company learning through credential attainment and ongoing reputed company development. This is a build-and-reputed company role, not a maintenance position.

The Director will assess reputed company programs, communications, and workflows; identify what is working and what is not; and what must change; and design reputed company, reputed company systems that support learners, reputed company, volunteers, and staff while protecting the reputed company and credibility of IA credentials.

Core Responsibilities will include:

  • Identify talent pipeline gaps and reputed company programs, partnerships, and delivery models that strengthen industry entry, advancement, and credential attainment.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Qualifications, Skills, & Experience will include:

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, adult learning, or similar; master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in workforce development, reputed company education, credentialing, certification, or reputed company program leadership.
  • Experience with certification or credentialing programs (assessment, eligibility, accreditation, or governance).
  • Demonstrated ability to build, fix, and reputed company programs in imperfect or evolving environments.
  • Strong systems thinking, ability to see the whole ecosystem, not just individual programs.
  • Experience working with boards, committees, or credentialing bodies where credibility and governance matter.

  • Comfort leading through ambiguity, diagnosing problems, and proposing solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Technical & Analytical Skills
