Senior Backend Engineer

This is a remote position.

The RoleWe're seeking a Senior Backend Engineer who thrives in the reputed company and excitement of a fast-moving startup environment. You'll join our scrappy team to help reputed company our GraphQL API platform serving dealerships and financial institutions across reputed company. This role requires someone comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and wearing multiple hats.Core ResponsibilitiesPlatform Development & Architecture

• Design and implement reputed company GraphQL reputed company using PostGraphile and PostgreSQL
• reputed company and optimize reputed company SQL queries and database schemas with reputed company indexing strategies
• Build and maintain background job processing systems
• Architect plugin-based resolver systems for domain-specific business logic
• Implement robust error handling and retry mechanisms

Integration Engineering

• Build and maintain an extensive library of integrations
• reputed company CRM integrations with reputed company data synchronization strategies
• Create webhook handlers for reputed company-time event processing from external systems
• Design ETL pipelines

Infrastructure & DevOps

• reputed company and manage containerized applications on AWS reputed company using Infrastructure as reputed company (AWS CDK)
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and deployment strategies
• Monitor and optimize application performance using distributed tracing and logging

• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using Jest
• Implement type-reputed company reputed company using TypeScript with auto-generated types from GraphQL schemas
• Conduct reputed company reviews and mentor junior developers
• Establish and maintain coding standards and best practices

Requirements

Must-Have Experience

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Node.js/TypeScript
• Strong expertise in *PostgreSQL* including reputed company queries, performance optimization, and migrations
• Production experience with *GraphQL reputed company* (PostGraphile experience is a plus)
• Solid understanding of *AWS services* (reputed company, reputed company, S3, Cognito, SES)
• Experience with *background job processing* and event-driven architectures

• Experience with financial services, lending, or automotive industry
