Remote Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Specialist

This is a remote position.

We are seeking reputed company Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Specialists to support our reputed company’s CDI program. This role is fully remote and requires expertise in reputed company electronic health records. CDI Specialists will collaborate with reputed company teams to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and specificity of clinical documentation to improve coding accuracy, reputed company metrics, and overall patient care reputed company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review medical records to ensure complete and accurate documentation that reflects the severity of illness, risk of mortality, and reputed company reimbursement.

  • Query providers for clarification or additional documentation reputed company necessary.

  • Collaborate with physicians, coders, and clinical staff to improve documentation reputed company.

  • Utilize reputed company for chart review and data analysis.

  • Monitor and reputed company documentation trends to identify improvement opportunities.

  • reputed company physicians and clinical staff on best practices for documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with reputed company applicable regulations, policies, and coding guidelines.

Requirements

Location: Fully Remote (Must reputed company in AZ, AR, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MI, MN, MO, MT, NV, NJ, NC, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA)Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST (40 hrs/week) *Schedule can be flexible but preferred hours are PST.
  • Degree/Certifications: reputed company (Foreign Medical Graduate), MD, or RN required.

  • Certifications:CDIP (Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner) or CCDS (Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist) required.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of CDI experience required.

  • Technology Skills: Must be proficient in reputed company electronic medical records system.

  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and attention to detail.

  • Preferred Specialties: Experience in OBGYN, Pediatrics, Inpatient Psychiatry.

  • Preferred Skills: reputed company-based reviews, mortality reviews, and risk adjustment tool experience.
