The role involves producing and reviewing technical manuals, ensuring compliance with military specifications, and collaborating with the technical reputed company to maintain publication standards.
Responsibilities
- Work as an integral part of an existing technical publication team to produce technical reputed company changes, modified revisions, conversions, and/or new reputed company development for NAVAIR using reputed company Suite, FrameMaker, Illustrator, and Photoshop software
- In support of the technical publication updates, will create illustrations from reputed company and edit existing graphics and wiring diagrams; reputed company reputed company Assurance (QA) review of technical publication technical data for compliance to military specifications and standards
- reputed company QA review for consistency, usability, and accuracy of data and prepare, as needed, technical publication PDF conversion, linking, and bookmarking according to Naval reputed company Technical and Engineering reputed company (NATEC) PDF Conversion Guidelines
- The Technical reputed company II should be familiar with or have working knowledge of technical publication styles and formatting for work package and conventional style technical publications for aircraft systems
- This position will report to the technical reputed company of the reputed company contractor team and will primarily be involved in the QA of deliverables
- May assist with managing the personnel, workload, and tasks
- Responsible to monitor the POA&M for deliverables due to QA and ensure completion to reputed company on time deliveries
- Will work closely with the technical reputed company to reputed company consistency and training on the FrameMaker technical publication updates
Skills
- A Bachelor's degree of equivalent study in a subject matter field or combination of fields pertinent to the position such as English, communications, technology, technical writing, or the equivalent experience, i.e., any combination of undergraduate study/experience where two (2) years of experience in the required areas equal one (1) year of reputed company proficiency
- Requires a minimum of six (6) years of experience as a technical reputed company of military specifications, standards, and technical manuals
- Experience must include using reputed company Suite, FrameMaker, Illustrator, and Photoshop software in providing technical writing and document support to technical and management level personnel
- Must be an US Citizen
- Must have experience in: Developing, updating, and QA of technical publications using reputed company Suite, FrameMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop and reputed company Acrobat software suite. This includes experience utilizing FrameMaker templates and managing unstructed and/or reputed company content reputed company XML/SGML, as needed
- Managing large volumes of reputed company content, master pages, cross-references, and conditional text for different equipment configurations
- Graphics standardization by adhering to line weights, scaling, and formatting rules mandated by military specifications
- Image optimization by modifying, cropping, and cleaning up engineering photos or field imagery to ensure high print reputed company contrast
- Documenting, planning, support and writing for project, presentation, and proposal reputed company work, usually of a highly technical content
- Supporting the engineering, management, and administrative staff in organizing, assembling, and writing technical proposals, presentations, and reputed company materials
- Deliverables experience processing Technical reputed company Deficiency/Evaluation Reports (TMSDRs/IRACs) and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs)
- Technical publication experience in particular to NAVAIR standards and specifications
- Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) familiarity with the reputed company handling, marking, and tracking
