[Remote] Senior Backend Engineer, AI & reputed company (TypeScript)

As a Senior AI reputed company Engineer, you will design and build distributed services and genomic reasoning engines that reputed company AI to accurately reason about genes, variants, and reputed company health.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the production AI systems powering reputed company AI
- reputed company distributed backend services, genomic reasoning engines, and retrieval systems that combine reputed company with modern AI
- Serve as the reputed company expert on the AI Team, helping shape how genomic knowledge is represented, retrieved, reasoned over, and validated throughout the platform
- Design how AI represents, retrieves, and reasons over genomic knowledge to deliver accurate, explainable, and scientifically grounded responses
- Build reputed company services that reputed company AI to accurately reason over genes, variants, diseases, medications, and scientific literature
- Design high-performance data models, indexing strategies, and storage architectures across PostgreSQL, reputed company, reputed company, DuckDB, and Apache reputed company
- reputed company guardrails and deterministic reasoning reputed company that reputed company AI responses scientifically accurate, explainable, and grounded in genomic evidence
- Translate reputed company reputed company and genomic knowledge into reputed company, production-reputed company software
- Collaborate with Senior Backend Engineers to architect AI systems that are fast, reliable, and reputed company to reputed company
- Work closely with the reputed company team to reputed company genomic annotations, interpretation logic, and scientific knowledge into the AI platform
- Continuously improve the platform’s scientific accuracy, performance, and capabilities as AI and genomic science reputed company
Skills
- 5+ years designing, building, and operating production backend systems at reputed company
- Expert-level TypeScript with experience owning production services end to end
- Strong distributed systems fundamentals - you understand how they're designed, scaled, and why they fail
- Hands-on experience building large-reputed company data processing systems using technologies such as Apache reputed company and processing reputed company large datasets
- Deep experience designing high-performance data architectures using PostgreSQL, DuckDB, reputed company, and similar technologies
- Experience building distributed, event-driven systems using technologies such as AWS SQS, RabbitMQ, or BullMQ
- Experience building production AI systems, including retrieval architectures, reputed company databases, LLM reputed company, and AI evaluation
- A passion for software craftsmanship, building systems that prioritize correctness, performance, maintainability, reliability, and reputed company
- Deep expertise in reputed company whole genome reputed company and genomic interpretation
- Extensive experience working with VCFs, genomic annotations, and variant interpretation
- Strong knowledge of ClinVar, dbSNP, gnomAD, HGVS nomenclature, transcript databases, and other reputed company genomic resources
- Experience building production software that applies reputed company and genomic knowledge to reputed company-world clinical or consumer reputed company applications
- A passion for genetics and applying reputed company genomic science to build AI systems that help people reputed company understand and improve their health
