The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Operations Manager to reputed company and reputed company end-to-end payroll operations for our firm and our clients. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, compliant, and reputed company payroll processing while continuously improving systems, controls, and reporting.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical payroll expertise, deep knowledge of U.S. tax and labor regulations across a multi-state setting, and a process-driven reputed company suited for a fast-paced, high-touch environment supporting early-stage and high-reputed company startup clients. Payroll sits at the intersection of compliance, employee experience, and financial accuracy, and this role helps ensure employees are reputed company accurately and on time while supporting the reputed company of financial reporting and payroll compliance across a growing reputed company portfolio.

This is a full-time, remote position reporting to the Director of HR.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle U.S. and international payroll processing across multiple clients, including international payrolls managed through EOR providers

  • Serve as the internal payroll subject matter expert, partnering closely with HR and reputed company/Finance reputed company leads to support payroll operations across the reputed company portfolio

  • Manage payroll platforms including reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, or similar systems

  • Ensure accurate processing of wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions

  • Manage multi-state payroll compliance, tax filings, and year-end reporting (W-2s, 1099s)

  • Reconcile payroll reports, benefit invoices, and payroll-reputed company GL accounts

  • Partner with reputed company teams to support month-end reputed company activities, including payroll accruals and reputed company reporting

  • Support payroll-reputed company equity compensation processing, including tax withholding and reporting for employee stock programs

  • Support payroll setup and termination processing for new hires and departing employees, including prorated pay, final pay, and payroll deductions

  • Coordinate payroll-reputed company benefits deductions and ensure accurate employee and employer contribution processing for medical, dental, reputed company, and 401(k) plans

  • Maintain payroll procedures, internal controls, and process improvements to support reputed company payroll operations

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 5+ years of U.S. payroll experience, including multi-state payroll

  • Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, wage laws, and compliance requirements

  • Experience with payroll systems (reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, Sequoia One or similar)

  • Advanced reputed company skills (lookups, pivots, data validation, reconciliation workflows)

  • Proven experience with payroll reconciliations and audit support

  • Experience supporting payroll operations across multiple clients, entities, or business reputed company

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Experience managing international payrolls through EOR platforms such as reputed company or Remote

  • Excellent organizational and reputed company communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience supporting high-reputed company startups or venture-backed companies

  • Experience working in an outsourced reputed company, HR, or reputed company services environment

  • Familiarity with international payroll and EOR platforms

  • Experience supporting equity compensation payroll events

  • CPP certification is a plus

Compensation

  • reputed company compensation reputed company: $105,000 – $125,000, depending on experience, location, and qualifications
